| Today's application
development environment is complex and heterogeneous
in nature. Many companies utilize a mix of tools
and standards to meet their diverse needs. Currently,
SMT supports the following types of modernizations:
Smalltalk Modernization
Synchrony
supports modernization for all commertial Smalltalk
platforms. For more details, please, expand ...
Smalltalk-to-Java/J2EE
SMT provides features for migration
to both source and GUI code from Smalltalk to
Java/J2EE. Most Java implementations today require
a multi-tier architecture with rich or browser-based
UIs while implementing business model and data
functions on servers. SMT provide direct support
for this complex model. We support most industry
leading Java/J2EE application servers including
IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic and many others.
Our GUI support includes SWING, SWT and several
others.
Smalltalk-to-C#/.Net
Corporations today require flexibility and architectural
pluggability for their mission-critical applications.
Consequently, some of our Smalltalk customers
are choosing mixed target architecture for their
Smalltalk applications, with C#/.NET on the
client desktop and Java/J2EE on the server.
Smalltalk-to-Smalltalk
SMT enables migrating source and GUIs between
most variations of Smalltalk. We offer “as
is” migration solutions which essentially
migrate an existing Smalltalk application to
a different version without any additional redesign
or re-architecture. SMT also supports re-engineering
applications within the same platform.
EGL Modernization
Modernize monolithic EGL host applications into
distributed SOA enabled web applications. Turn
the host application into a services layer and
extract the user interface and application flow
into a separate web tier.
Facelift legacy text user interface (3270 and
5250) into a native look-and-feel web user interface
- JSF and AJAX.
